To Submit Articles:

 
 

In order to ensure the accuracy of the Lake County, Michigan Articles placed upon this page,

it would be appreciated if when submitting, that you follow these steps.

 

 

  1. When e-mailing the transcriber:

 

    1. To Submit an Lake County Newspaper Article E-mail:  LakeCountyArticleSubmit@khrysania.com

 

    1. Please put “Re:  Lake County, Michigan Obituaries” in the subject line of the e-mail.  Submit “Obituaries” for what type of article you are sending.

 

  1. What to include for the Articles:

 

    1. Full name of the person in the Article (Include Maiden names in parenthesis if possible).

 

    1. Newspaper Name (Must be a Newspaper from Lake County, Michigan at this time, later on I may start some for Kent County, Isabella County, Michigan).

 

    1. Town/State The Newspaper Originates From.

 

    1. Date the Newspaper Was Published (i.e.:  Article appeared in the Newspaper on January 2, 2005).

 

    1. Page Number:  What page in the newspaper was your Article on?  (The page number is not a must for submissions, but it is helpful to those researching).

 

    1. Articles can be typed out or you can send an image of the Article (.jpeg please).  If you are typing the Article, please type it word for word, even if there are spelling/information errors.  Do not change the context of the Article.  Double check it too!

 

    1. Notes on Article:  If you would like to note an error or make a correction in the Article (such as wrong dates, etc.) please do so AFTER the Article under “NOTE:”

 

    1. Contact info:  If you would like contact info included with the Article, please submit that as well.  Such as your name and an e-mail address.  Your contact info will be included at the bottom of the page your article appears in the Contact box with the name of the person/family your contact info will be linked to.

 

    1. Extra Information:  If you would like, these submissions can also submitted to the Michigan GenWeb, please make it known, as the information will not be submitted to them without the your permission.
